What is a Career Development Coordinator and what do they do?
-
The Career Development Coordinator (CDC) works collaboratively with administrators, students services personnel, teachers, parents, business/industry, post-secondary institutions, military, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of career development services for students.
Whether in one-on-one counseling with a student needing help with creating a resume and sharpening interview skills or putting together a career fair, the CDC works both publically and behind the scenes to help students secure a bright future after high school in the endeavor of their choice.... employment, enlistment or further education or training.
So what EXACTLY does a CDC do? The following is only a small, small list, but know that if it involves helping with the future of a child, that future may begin with a CDC!
